The Plex iOS app, which is available for free the from App Store, lets you view your movies, photos, and music stored on your Plex Media Server wherever you are. The app has always had the ability to upload photos off of your device onto Plex Media Server.
Now, the Plex iOS app has also added video uploading to it’s set of features. This means that no matter where you are, you can upload videos from your iPhone onto your Plex Media Server remotely, where they will be safely stored and free to delete on your device.
In addition, iCloud media is included in Camera Upload, video thumbnails are shown in folder view, and there are even more features to check out.
This new feature for the Plex iOS app comes only a week after the same feature was introduced for the Plex Android app as well. Now, you get the same functionality no matter which phone brand you rep.
Note: This new feature in the Plex iOS app is only available to those with Plex Pass. If you want to subscribe to Plex Pass or want to know more information about Plex’s premium service, click here for more information now.
